DLC-Si (Diamond-Like Carbon w/ Silicon)

DLC-Si is Teikuro’s newest addition to our product family. Under a licensing agreement with Toyota Central Research in Japan we are proud to offer this coating technology here in North America.

DLC –Si is an innovative coating technology with many excellent properties, some of which are as follows:

• Low co-efficient of friction, 0.1µ - 0.05µ
• High wear resistance
• Mild process temperatures, ranging from 500° F - 900° F, which greatly reduces risk of dimensional/sizing issues
• Superior adhesive strength to substrate material due to proprietary pre-treating technique
• Excellent hardness – Hv2500

These properties result in excellent seizure resistance.

• Automotive parts such as valve lifters, piston rings, clutches
• Fuel injection pump components
• Air conditioner compressor components
