Benefits of Teikuro Hard Chrome
Teikuro Corporation has been providing its original Hard Chrome Surface Treatment to the North American automobile industry since 1987. We are the world leader in providing high quality hard chrome surface treatment for both large and small die stamping applications. Our Teikuro Process and expert staff have played a significant role in improving our customers part quality, reducing press downtime, reducing defect rates & overall helping to improve press room productivity.

Eliminates the wearing of the die itself Teikuro Hard Chrome is a thin, sacrificial layer (.001"). This chrome layer protects the criitical configuration of the die during the stamping operation. The hard chrome layer will eventually begin to wear during operation instead of the original die surface. Therefore, the integrity of small radii, feature lines and any other working areas on the die are preserved. |

Reduced Dirt Due to the hardness of the chrome plating any foreign matter introduced into the die during operation will embed itself into the stamped panel and be carried out the end of the press line. |

Reduces the need for lubricants Chrome metal has one of the lowest coefficients of friciton of any known metal. We recommend reducing the normal amount of lube by 50% right up front. Another advantage to chrome is that although very smooth, it has many tiny micro-cracks. These cracks hold microscopic amounts of mill oil and act as tiny ball bearings as the panel is drawn over the die configuration. |

| Increases throughput Because the thin, hard lubricious chrome layer resists most galling and scoring of the draw panel, it is not necessary to constantly polish radii during production runs. Chrome will also take care of most dirt concerns, allowing more time for the press to make parts. Split problems are almost always improved. |
